Description
The Junkers Ju 88
was a bomber with both horizontal bombing and dive bombing capabilities,
and as a twin-engine bomber it
was used for a variety of purposes, taking advantage of its excellent maneuverability and top speed.
It was used from the beginning of the war until the end of the war, with
total production reaching approximately 15,000 aircraft, second only to the Bf109 and Fw190.
The Ju88A-4, which was deployed to troops from around the summer of 1940,
had an overall width of 20.08m compared to the Ju88A-1's 18.375m, and
although its weight increased, the engine was replaced with a high-output Jumo211F/J, which increased its
maximum speed. Faster than A-1.
