Description
The Ring Temuco Boat A-7A Corsair II
is a carrier-based attack aircraft developed as a successor to the A-4 Skyhawk.
To reduce development time and costs,
design concepts and components from the company's F-8 Crusader carrier-based fighter
were utilized.
The A type was the first mass-produced type and was deployed to combat units in September 1967,
followed by the B, C, and E types, and the final model for the navy was rolled out in May 1971.
