Description

USMC F/A-18A+, VMFA-232 Red Devils - Academy 12627

Developed by Boeing (previously McDonnell Douglas), the F/A-18 Hornet is an advanced multi-role aircraft used by the US Navy and Marines. The aircraft took to the skies in November of 1978 with the first production aircraft flying in the spring of 1980. The initial production run of the aircraft was 380 F/A-18As. In 1987, the F/A-18C was unveiled. Both A and C are single-seater aircraft, while the B and D variants are tandem-seaters. In total, 1,480 examples of the F/A-18 were built. This kit contains plastic parts for faithful recreating the USMC F/A-18A+ from VMFA-232, as seen in 2007 in the Persian Gulf, in 1/144 scale. The fully assembled model is 11.4cm long and 3.3cm tall.
