USMC SBD-1, Pearl Harbor - Academy 12331
Developed for scouting and as a light and dive bomber, numerous variants of the "Dauntless" operated throughout WWII with the US Marine Corps, Army, and Navy. The Douglas Dauntless served as the US Navy's primary bomber in the Pacific and served in every major operation. The Dauntless dive-bomber grew into one of the most celebrated aircraft of WWII, with 5,936 having been constructed in all variants. This model authentically recreates the USMC SBD-1 as stationed at Pearl Harbor in 1/48 scale.
