My son wanted one of these because this locomotive's design is very close to that of the West Point Route's two class P-74 4-6-2s and there isn't an actual model of either P-74 available in almost any scale apart from a Key Imports/Samhongsa HO-scale brass import that was made in the 1980s. He thus plans to eventually turn it into a "stand-in" model of Atlanta & West Point #290, which his father and I both rode behind during the late 1980s and early 1990s when it was pulling excursions for the New Georgia Railroad, which we volunteered for. That's how our son got his love of trains, and since the Southeastern Railway Museum doesn't currently plan to restore #290 to operation again for a combination of reasons, and until Broadway Limited Imports can produce an actual model of #290 in either HO-scale or N-scale, this will be the next best thing for him. The only difficulty will be with decals since there aren't any that can be used to customize this locomotive and make it resemble the real #290 as far as we know.
