This is one of three 35' Rapido Trains lettered for "fallen flag" railroads in the Northeastern USA that I liked very much and miss now. The Nickel Plate Road was known for running fast freights between Chicago, Peoria and St. Louis and Buffalo, serving points in between, in competition with larger railroads including the New York Central. It had trailers like these. The models are very well detailed and beautifully painted and lettered.

My one reservation about them is that the pin on the underframe that's intended to be inserted into the kind of piggyback hitch on a flatcar that became standard by the time the NKP was merged into the Norfolk & Western (1964) is smaller than is usual in HO. I may have to use a bit of Walthers Goo or masking tape to hold it temporarily in place but to allow it to be removed when I want to use another trailer. It MAY fit the hitch on those Rapido Trains flatcars that have that type, but I have only one of those and before getting these trailers had enlarged the hole on its hitch in order to use trailers from other model railroad suppliers with it.
