The F/A-18 from McDonnell Douglas was a twin-engine fighter and attack platform capable of operating from carriers and conventional airfields. The Hornet was initially developed in 1978 and saw several updates throughout its service, and in 1987, production began on the F/A-18C variant. This 1/72 scale model kit, captures the CAG bird 1648899 "Chippy Ho" of VFA-195 which is one of three Hornets that have shared the name. Another option is available for AMFA-242 Bats, stationed in Japan.
