Description
This detailed AtlasO Trainman(R) O Scale EMD GP15-1 locomotive is based locomotives built between 1976 and 1982. Powered by a 12-cylinder EMD 645E engine that generated 1,500hp, it was commonly used as a light road switcher or a yard switcher. The GP15-1 was introduced as a replacement for aging EMD GP7 and GP9 diesels and as such was originally intended to incorporate frames from trade-in locos. A total of 310 units were built for American railroads. This O Scale replica comes with no decoder for operation on conventional DC 2-rail O Scale layouts. The GP15-1offers a combination of detail, realism, and performance. This detailed model features separately applied metal details, fixed pilots, scale knuckle couplers and directional LED headlights.
