Description
This detailed Atlas HO Scale Master Gold GE U28C is modeled after diesels developed in 1966, and provided a 300 horsepower increase over its predecessor, the U25C. Built on a larger frame than the U25C, the model also incorporated other improvements, such as new floating bolster trucks. The longer frame also allowed space for a steam generator for passenger service; Only Santa Fe purchased the passenger variant U28CG. This Atlas model features a five-pole, skew-wound motor with dual flywheels, directional LED lighting, Accumate(R) magnetic knuckle couplers, accurate decoration and roadname-appropriate body details. This sound-ready diesel comes equipped with a 21-pin DCC socket and speaker for easy decoder installation when you're ready. This GE U28C is one of many Atlas HO Scale locomotives.
