Description
The General Electric P42, or "Genesis" is a modern 4200 horsepower passenger engine used across the US and Canada. Since their introduction, they've had a number of revisions for easier maintenance and parts replacement, including a bolt-on fiberglass nose panel (replacing the original's solid metal) and a new headlight bezel that's more rounded than the previous square versions.
Models feature a coreless truck-motor drive paired with a super-heavy solid metal body mechanism that doubles the number of motors while increasing the traction potential and weight for smoothness and pulling power. The models can handle curves as small as 14-5/16" (370mm; European R1) for operation in spaces normally reserved strictly for N Scale models! Other features include directional headlights and tail lights on both the front and rear for operation as a lead engine, double-headed, or a trailing unit, and illuminated pre-printed numberboards.
