Bachmann 68812 EMD GP35 - PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD #2252 DCC & Sound, HO

BachmannSKU: BAC68812

Description

The EMD GP35 was the first true "Second Generation" diesel in EMD's locomotive line. Although directly succeeding the GP30, with the first orders being delivered in 1963, the GP35 was the first in the range to follow the general exterior styling for all future EMD road switchers. A total of 1,334 were produced over a three-year period, with examples finding homes as far afield from each other as the Alaska Railroad and Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México. These hard-working locomotives could usually be found on local freight duties or switching in yards, and examples can still be found in service today with railroads such as BNSF. The Bachmann EMD GP35 is DCC-equipped for sound, speed, direction, and lighting control. It features a TCS decoder programmed with authentic sounds, a Keep-Alive® device for uninterrupted operation, and is ready-to-run for either analog layout or DCC operation.
