Description
The Atlas Master Santa Fe Class BX-166 62' Beer Boxcar is based on double-door
insulated boxcars built in the railroad's own Topeka Shops beginning in 1974.
These 62' cars were widely used for hauling beer and more into the 2010s and
some still run in 2018. Over the years the cars have worn many variations of
Santa Fe and BNSF paint and lettering schemes. This ready-to-run HO Scale Class
BX-166 62' Boxcar features a detailed injection-molded body, applied-wire grab
irons, cut levers, etched-metal brake platforms, 36" metal wheels and
body-mounted magnetic knuckle couplers.
