BachmannSKU: BAC84408

Description

The Pennsylvania Railroad’s K4 4-6-2 locomotive, originally produced for passenger service, was considered the premier steam engine of the PRR system until the end of steam service in 1957. Quickly recognized for its ruggedness and reliability, the locomotive was one of the few used for both passenger and freight service throughout the PRR system. Known as Pennsylvania’s state steam locomotive since 1987, it returns to our HO scale lineup with a TCS WOWSound® CD-quality 16-bit 44,100Hz decoder with Audio Assist® for easy programming without CVs, as well as a Keep-Alive® device for uninterrupted operation, even over dirty track. The K4 arrives factory-set for maximum realism with a steam locomotive sound package that includes whistle, bell, blow down, cylinder cocks, water fill, coupler close and release, brake application and release, momentum, grade-crossing quill, departing and arriving station announcements, and more.

 Additional features include:
